The website strives to maximise accessibility of the content and functionality. The website is designed with respect to the Czech rules of accessible web design. It complies with the main accessibility principles according to the WCAG 1.0 methodology and according to the principles of the Sjednocená organizace slabozrakých a nevidomých (SONS – Czech Blind United)Blind Friendly Web project. The structure of both the layout and content is created by using the structural tool known as XHTML 1.0 Strict. The visual presentation is done by using the Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).

All published texts are defined in relative units and their size can be freely modified with the help of the standard browser tools (Ctrl + scroll wheel in Internet Explorer). Exceptions may be made for certain application functions.

The website also includes CSS styling for the print version. All pages can be printed without any restrictions with the help of standard internet browser tools (the printer icon being by default in the browser navigation bar, or via the File - Print menu).

Independence of the input device

The control of published pages is not limited by the type of the input device. This means that the content can therefore be accessed via a touch screen, mouse and keyboard.

Independence of the output device

Access to website content is not dependent on the use of a particular type of output equipment. Whether it is an alternative internet browser, a text browser, a PDA, a smartphone or a voice reader.
